Many of us think that our own personal growth, social progress, and world peace are the responsibility of someone else, but that is not the responsibility of each and every one of us. This is because some developments in any corner of the globe can directly or indirectly affect the entire population of the world. But we do not pay attention to any of these things. Communication perspectives have changed drastically in the new world where the internet and social media have ruled the world. It means that any of us can attract the whole world's attention to us at any moment.
Before the advent of modern visual media and the Internet, newspapers and books were the only way to know the world. There was a limit to the knowledge that could be gained through it. There was no way to let the world know their ideas and concerns about ordinary people. Their knowledge and ideas were confined to a small community around them. There was no way to know about the distant world except through someone's travelogues. Therefore, the events and cultural issues of another distant country would not affect the people of another place or their social life. Today things have changed drastically. Every events in any corner of the world can be known live at any moment. The world has progressed in such a way that even the child of an ordinary mercenary in any one of the inland parts of the world can instantly influence the whole world.
Even our thoughts continue to influence others. If good thoughts, good words, and actions are constantly coming from us, we can see that those around us are becoming like us. Therefore, everyone should realize that it is a big mistake to write and forward on social media in a way that incites racism or hurt feelings of a particular people. We do not realize how dangerous the false messages we forward, knowingly or unknowingly, can be. Without forwarding such messages, it becomes a great social service to instruct the sender not to send such messages.
Most of us have a laid back attitude when it comes to painting a picture about our personality, economic growth and social progress. Most of them are leading a lazy life with all this tied to the shoulders of the government. Not only do they never see the opportunities around them as they place the blame for their own failure on the heads of others. Such people not only have a huge responsibility to the government but also send the wrong message to the society. Since not everyone can do everything, any society can only grow if it utilizes human resources by doing small and big things that everyone can do.
Lack of mutual support is one of the main obstacles to personality growth, social growth and world progress. You would rather work hard than advising people. When everyone is willing to take advantage of the opportunities and circumstances around them and move forward in collaboration with others, great success and more beautiful living conditions can be achieved. Everyone should be able to expand their world beyond national boundaries with beautiful ideas by utilizing the great potential provided by the internet and social media. If we dream constantly a world where we can use our resources properly and with mutual respect and cooperation and live in peace and contentment, the conditions for that will come around us. We should not try to change others, we should try to change ourselves, and the majority who do not try to think for themselves will slowly follow you. Remember, it is up to you to start that big change
